The Kentucky Falconers Association is a social organization that promotes the sport of falconry in Kentucky through organized events and member correspondence. Through its foundation, the KFA encourages the wise and ethical use of raptors in the sport of falconry. Formed in the late 1960s and re-formed in 2015, the Kentucky Falconers Association has served as an important communication forum for falconers and those wanting to become falconers throughout the Commonwealth and beyond.
The KFA works closely with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) to maintain the current falconry permit program standards and educate those who wish to become falconers. The Kentucky Falconers Association is also affiliated with the North American Falconers Association (NAFA) which serves falconers on a national and international level.
